23rd January 1984 is a red letter day in the history of Mother Mary School.It was on this day the school started its humble beginning under the guidance of Lt. Dorine Maringmei and Mr. James Akham Maringmei,the founders of Mother Mary School.They strongly believed in the phrase ,”The strength of a child’s personality depends upon his Foundation” and thus dedicated themselves in building Strong foundation with a quality independent learning environment that focussed on an active learning, a commitment to the environment, dedication to the school and community as an individual.

Located at Zeliangrong Village ,Dimapur Nagaland Mother Mary School opened its doors with 11 students enrolled in Lkg through seventh standard at the beginning.Since its opening, the school strength and educational environment has continued to evolve with an enrollment of 400 students currently.It provides Co Education to classes from Nursery to VIII.Upgradation in process.

Throughout the years, the school community has remained committed to creating an environment in which students are known, supported,challenged and encouraged to grow.
